Hi, I'm Melissa, and I'm an LPC with 14+ years of experience in the mental health field, currently living and practicing in Southwest Virginia. My background includes crisis intervention, stabilization, and long-term support for those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, mood and personality disorders, psychosis, addiction, and relationship issues. I strive to help clients better understand themselves, process where they have been, and move forward with a better quality of life.
As a lover of stories, I incorporate elements of literature into my practice and encourage you to tell me your story in your own words. My approach is dialectical, direct, and solution-focused to best help you identify what you'd like to explore. I incorporate elements of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness so you can gain insight and support your mental health.
