As a therapist with over 30 years of experience, I work with church staff, corporate executives, teens and adults to improve leadership skills, personal relationships and business performance. Patients & family members currently dealing with the emotional effects of chronic or terminal illness are also a piece of my practice. I provide individual, marital and family counseling. I treat a variety of common emotional and relational difficulties including anxiety, depression and relationship conflict, as well as parent/child issues, and the emotional effects of medical conditions.
My approach is collaborative, helping my clients use their strengths to reach their goals, overcoming 'road blocks" for a more enriched life. It's important to treat the whole person, providing encouragement & hope. I use traditional as well as innovative and tested therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems therapy.
For many of my clients, faith is important to them. As a licensed minister, I respect my client's spiritual beliefs and incorporate their faith into counseling.
