I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I practice CBT and Narrative therapy. My approach to therapy is to be able to aid the client in developing the tools needed to deal with complicated feelings and situations. While also giving the client space to express their stories and guide them in re-authoring their stories in a way that is more consistent with their goals. I work with clients who are dealing with depression and anxiety disorders. I am most comfortable treating symptoms, including emotional distress, depression, anxiety, self-management, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships.
I create a comfortable and open environment for clients to be able to express themselves. I believe a part of how I practice therapy and why a majority of my caseload continues to come back is based on the nonjudgmental and inviting environment provided to them during our sessions.
I allow the client to set their goals for therapy, while also reminding them to be mindful of the end results they are looking to achieve. Clients should expect to be invited to a safe space where they are welcomed and able to open up about their struggles with no judgment.
