A recent client told me “It's so validating and refreshing to be able to do therapy in a way that actually works for me after spending so many years in cognitive behavioral modalities that did very little for my trauma.” So many clients share the feeling of “undoing aloneness” in our sessions. This undoing of aloneness has helped clients reconcile and unburden themselves of trauma as well as feel thankful for being able to learn how to listen to their heart and their heart’s certainty of their worthiness. Our relationship has helped them to create a healing and grounding relationship with themselves...listening to their hearts.
I have been practicing as a therapist for over 15 years. I primarily utilize AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy). My work helps people get in touch with the emotions and bodily awareness that is often missing when they are "stuck “ or “spinning.” I create safety and a strong therapeutic connection to facilitate this exploration and healing.
My approach is warm and affirming. I am a good and careful listener and take people into my heart and mind in order to ask the right questions and help guide them to the truths they need to embrace in order to have the life they desire. Therapy can be challenging and require courage. I see myself as a partner in that fruitful and brave hard work.
