I believe that people can change and often need assistance during the process. I believe that relationships are worth investing in and couples can learn to relate to each other more effectively. I believe sometimes people become stuck trying to do the right thing, or figure out what is the right thing. I believe people often need encouragement to push past where they are stuck. I believe we all can benefit and learn from hearing a different perspective.
It has been my experience that people make many attempts to change their situations before going to a counselor, and they are often frustrated and discouraged by this time. I have made it my focus to encourage others to move beyond where they currently are, to where they want to be.
My goal is to provide a safe and easy to be in environment for people to talk about their concerns, examine their strengths, and find new meaning and focus. I consider it a privilege to work collaboratively with those wanting more connection to themselves and others. Often, this is accomplished by an updated and more accurate perspective and narrative.
