I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents, adults of all ages, and families, specializing in anxiety, depression, behavior issues, grief, and trauma, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and TF-CBT to empower my clients to reach their goals and feel better.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed modalities. Both modalities often assist my clients in identifying root causes of distress or unwanted behaviors so healing can begin. I also explore other areas of support my clients already have such as family,
My communication style is personable, creative, and conversational. I also believe that, at appropriate times, laughter can be good medicine. I recognize that my clients are the experts on their lives, not me. This applies to clients from 12 - 99 yrs old. It is important that my clients are comfortable talking to me and that they meet their goals, not mine.
