I am a child and adolescent Marriage & Family Therapist at Aloha Psych Associates. I am inspired by the “aloha spirit,” drawing on Hawaiian concepts like ‘alo’ (presence), ‘ha’ (breath of life), ‘mana’ (healing energy), and ‘ohana’ (family and connectedness). I provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and families navigating biological, psychological, and social difficulties. I have experience in higher level care Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs and hospital settings working with high-risk children and teens.
I use evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, DBT, ERP, solution-focused, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, to effectively help clients learn to manage distressing emotions and events. Clients are received with genuine care, kindness, and compassion. I prioritize a supportive space that honors each person’s unique strengths, values, and identities.
I am about meeting clients where they are at. I take a non-directive approach of not telling people what to do but rather supporting them in their decisions. I believe everything is connected and the importance of the mind-body connection. I spend my free time practicing pilates, being outdoors, traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
