In my years of experience working with the teen and young adult population, I’ve came to the realization that this generation is navigating a world far different than the one I once knew at their age. They challenge our systems and pre-conceived notions of how things “should” be. They often feel alone, misunderstood, and confused during this period of immense growth.
The first part of my approach is to build trust and rapport-the essential ingredients for building a relationship with this population. I believe in cultivating a safe space where my client feels heard and seen. I specialize in helping adolescents overcome depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues using CBT and attachment-based practices.
This work is so meaningful to me and I am privileged to sit with my client and listen to their story. With a strong support system and the right set of coping skills, we can take adversity and turn it in resilience.
