Sudden changes happen to us all. It can be difficult to make decisions or talk to our closest people. This might be a traumatic event, a diagnosis, a loss, or a big decision. Large changes can bring up earlier problems, struggles we thought we had put away. I offer warmth, creativity, and openness to help in these situations. Dramatic changes can make a person feel shaken, undermined, or burned out. Gearing up for positive change takes energy and new avenues of thought and planning. I've been an counselor and educator in SC, NJ and NY since the 90s. I love meeting new people and I am interested in hearing your story.

I work with those whose lives have turned in a tough direction, who have lost their support, or are having to make big decisions about health or future. Life throws relationship, medical, and career surprises at us all. It can be hard to get support while protecting your privacy, especially if your support system doesn't have the same experiences.

I'm interested in working with people from all backgrounds. I take a secular and contemporary approach to counseling.
