I’m Melanie Sullivan, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Pacemaker Counseling. For more than a decade, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings including public school system, child protective services, and early education. In 2023, I began working as a mental health therapist, and through this deeper, more personal work, I felt inspired to create a space where more people could access meaningful individualized support.
My approach is client-centered and integrative, blending psychodynamic and narrative therapies with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and elements of life coaching. This allows me to tailor treatment to each individual reach their goals in therapy.
I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for clients to be able to explore themselves, early childhood experiences, previous trauma, current problems, and interpersonal relationships. Together we will work on your self-identified goals to create healthy and positive change.
