With a direct and gentle approach, and over twenty five years of experience, I offer the space you need to feel safe and begin to notice your own life patterns. Getting unstuck means developing increased awareness and finding new ways of being in our relationship with ourselves and others. I work with people to address concerns from sadness, grief, loss, trauma, depression, shame, low motivation, excessive worry, eating disorders, and adjustment to the many challenges and transitions in life.
I enjoy working with people who are in any type of transition:, coping with anxiety and loss, midlife issues, medical conditions, improving self-esteem and relationships, and eating issues. I offer many tools and resources. My primary approach is Internal Family Systems ( IFS). I also integrate CBT, Polyvagal theory, mindfulness and many other methods.
I have a good understanding of shame issues that often lie beneath other problems. With the support and guidance of a trusted therapist, we can work together to address the most difficult life experiences. I have a particular interest in working with parents of anxious and quirky children of any age. I look forward to working with you.
