I believe in an experiential learning environment to help clients build and practice coping skills to help manage trauma symptoms and difficult emotions. I have experience with children in the foster care system as well as with foster parents. I developed my therapeutic skills working in residential foster care and hope to continue helping clients struggling with the potential for out of home treatment. Through utilizing adventure-based counseling techniques, I enjoy connecting clients with outdoor experiences that provide a safe environment to practice developing coping strategies.
My greatest passion is working with children through equine-assisted therapeutic activities and adventure-based counseling. I utilize a Natural Lifemanship methodology with animal-assisted services which focus on helping clients heal from trauma through developing healthy relationship building skills.
Whether clients prefer therapy in an office, online or outside my approach focuses on helping clients to reflect on and embrace their strengths.
