There is a season in everyone's journey when you need an objective listener to affirm your strengths and identify any self-defeating patterns preventing you from being your best self. Over the past 20 years, I have valued collaborating with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, women's issues, career struggles, spirituality, overcoming abuse, healing relationships, coping with chronic/acute medical conditions, preparing/coping for retirement, care-giving, and terminal illness. Grieving is a natural response to any significant loss. I see adults 23 yrs and up. No children, teens, or couples.
I am trained in EMDR therapy. EMDR can reduce the emotional distress, fear, and anxiety associated with disturbing life experiences or traumatic events. It works well with PTSD, trauma, abuse, and phobias. Learn coping and change strategies for those facing any kind of transition who want to explore new options and dreams.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science from Texas Tech University in Human Development and Family Studies. I received my graduate Masters of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas in Austin in Clinical Therapy and Gerontology.
