There is a season in everyone's journey when you need an objective listener to affirm your strengths and identify self-defeating patterns preventing you from being your best self. Over the past 22 years, I have valued collaborating with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, as well as life transitions from career struggles, spiritual doubts, abuse, or divorce. Our society doesn't support aging. I teach coping skills from aging in the workforce, chronic/acute medical conditions, preparing/coping for retirement, to living with terminal illness. Grieving is a natural response to any significant loss. If you feel loss, grieve it.
I am trained in EMDR therapy, which can reduce the symptoms of disturbing life experiences. I specialize in helping adults adjust to and transition through life's many changes. I teach coping and change strategies for those facing any transition who want to explore new options and dreams. I serve adults ages 25 to 100.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science from Texas Tech University in Human Development and Family Studies. I received my graduate Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Adult Clinical Therapy and Gerontology.
