I work predominantly with women and "highly sensitive" women. My goal as a therapist is to facilitate the healing process by empowering women to create environments where they can thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically. My approach is exploratory and requires a willingness to engage in self-discovery. I believe that healing also stems from establishing rapport and a strong therapeutic relationship, making this unique relationship just as important as the treatment itself. I strive to ensure every client feels safe, seen, heard, and valued without judgment.
I specialize in addressing women's issues, particularly focusing on how women navigate their various interpersonal roles and relationships. I am dedicated to understanding and treating the long-term effects of adverse childhood experiences, such as emotional neglect, family dysfunction, substance abuse in the home, and other adverse conditions.
These experiences can negatively impact the development of a healthy self-concept, psychosocial development, and relationships. Humans are incredible at figuring out how to survive, but inevitably we may outgrow the strategies we learned as kids and we need to update our system with healthier more adaptive strategies.
