Some children are more difficult to parent than others. These difficulties can be seen early in life or show up in teen years. These children often have more conflict, rule breaking, and dangerous behaviors to self or others. Proven teachings help parents learn how to support their children to reduce conflict and suffering and work on goals for lives worth living.
As a mom, wife, and psychologist with over 10 years in the field and over 20 years in mental health, I will only work with families that I feel could benefit from my expertise. I know time and money is precious and that families need support that is likely to help. I use CBT, DBT, DBT-C, DBT-RO and others.
Knowing how to solve problems and deal with challenges are skills. They are skills we can learn, like changing a tire. If you were never taught, you don't have the skills. And you can learn them. Reach out if you're ready to get to work and we can decide together we would be a good fit for one another.
