I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor practicing in Austin, TX who works with folks experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, and people pleasing tendencies. My style can be adapted to work with almost anyone but the clients who find their way to me tend to be millennial aged women, often in high performance careers, and often married with children. My clients need space to express their feelings after years of putting others before themselves. Sometimes, the tendency to under prioritize the self comes from a background of childhood neglect, high expectations, and/or verbal abuse. Clients come to me for self-actualization.
I operate from a deeply humanistic approach, as well as feminist, anti-racist, and systemic lenses through which to conceptualize behavior. I believe that all behavior makes sense in context. As an EMDR-Certified therapist, I help clients identify negative cognitions rooted in past experiences so that they can be processed and healed.
