There is no pain on earth that doesn't crave a benevolent witness." (Sue Monk Kidd). Often the search for therapy begins when there is no benevolent witness to our pain. Depression, grief, abuse, and trauma are very difficult loads to carry alone. I work collaboratively with my clients to foster a relationship where these stories can be shared and explored. Through the therapeutic relationship we co-create new ways of being, seeing, and experiencing self and others.
In addition to specializing in the areas of trauma and abuse, I have also worked extensively with missionaries and pastors processing the unique challenges faced in these professions. Having lived cross-culturally I understand the difficulties of expatriation, repatriation, and the impact they have on faith and relationships.
It takes immense courage to ask for help. I consider it a deep privilege to walk with clients into the dark spaces and help them find hope again.
