My primary focus is helping individuals establish healthy perceptions of themselves while strengthening their relationships with others. I have extensive training & expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and support a HAES (Health at Every Size) perspective. Working with clients across all age spans, my practice treats a variety of psychological issues including mood & anxiety disorders, family conflicts & parenting challenges. To support individuals & their families experiencing cognitive decline, I am passionate about the Bredesen ReCODE program.
I spent over a decade treating inpatient & outpatient clients at UCLA Medical Center and I have consulted & worked internationally. I find the most consistent success in treating unwanted thoughts & behaviors using CBT which encourages client’s to build skills between therapy sessions; I am also qualified in multiple evidence-based therapy's including FBT.
I believe therapy is a collaboration of the client’s expertise of their life experiences & the therapist’s expertise of mental health. I understand the importance of supporting healthy family interactions. A successful therapeutic relationship begins with creating a safe, welcoming & respectful environment; one that allows self awareness without judgement.
