Starting therapy is a vulnerable decision and it can be difficult to start. My belief is that people have an intuitive and inherent power to recognize their own self-advocacy and self-empowerment. Every person deserves to discover and develop their own sense of self on their own terms. Our therapy sessions will be a collaborative and introspective process where we will discover your authentic self and explore how you are better able to navigate the daily stressors of life! Our space will always be met with compassion and curiosity to better understand the defenses that can often hinder personal growth and goals.
My framework includes relational therapy, narrative therapy, CBT (trauma-informed), DBT, IFS (internal family systems) and mindfulness techniques. I use an integrative, anti-oppressive approach with my clients as we will always be mindful of the complexities of therapy. Our sessions will always be met with openness and genuine acceptance of your experiences.
Building trust together is as important to me as I can imagine it is for you. Being AAPI, a native New Yorker- I understand the challenges of trauma and of asking for help. I am here to guide you in your journey in healing past trauma, and help you foster your own personal growth. We will work together to help you reconnect with yourself in the present life.
