As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), my mission is to provide culturally competent, holistic psychological services which aim to promote individual growth. My vision, at Melanated Minds, Co., is to create a safe space where Black and Brown individuals feel supported and emboldened to heal out loud. I want each client to reclaim their voice, strengthen who they are, and rebuild.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Norfolk State University in 2015. After which, I attended Liberty University and received my Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling; Marriage and Family Therapy concentration in 2018.
In my journey to further my education, I returned to Norfolk State University where I received my Master of Social Work: Clinical Concentration in.
In my practice, I utilize several treatment modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused- CBT, and more.
