I have worked in the mental health field for over 30 years, with individuals and families of all ages. My professional training includes Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology and Counseling and a PhD in Health Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon. I believe in a holistic approach to counseling and respect the individuality of all human beings. We will work together to reach your stated goals of therapy. Whatever your presenting problem, however desperate you may feel, I am here to offer hope.
My work is grounded in systemic theory and evidence-based behavioral medicine, acknowledging the unity of body, mind, and emotions. I am a mindfulness therapist, teaching skills in mindfulness and meditation. I have been teaching DBT since 1995. I offer skills-training, addiction treatment, and mental health and abuse/trauma therapy.
I offer clients support and hope for the changes they want to make in their lives, and I provide skills and tools to help them in their change process.
