Not accepting new clients
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I transitioned into counseling after spending over 10 years in education. As a classroom instructor and as a tutor, I saw how much outside issues affected my students, whether they were in kindergarten or college. My background definitely shapes the way I work with my clients. I take into account the how people are shaped by their experiences, always keeping in mind that clients are doing the best they can. My job as a counselor is not to "fix" my clients-it's to provide a safe space to explore their concerns and help them learn to "do better."
My areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, family/relationship issues, and phase of life changes. I specialize in working with teens, adults, and couples in underserved, highly stigmatized communities, such as the CNM, LGBTQ, and Kink/BDSM communities. I am also a certified trans-competent counselor.
Therapy is meant to be collaborative. I work with my clients to identify their unique needs. I then use therapeutic interventions in ways that are easily understandable and relatable to create a safe space for clients to process, learn, and grow. I often incorporate elements of popular culture into therapy in order to enhance the therapeutic process.

Join the Conversation: Parents of LGBTQ+ Kids

It can be confusing, and sometimes scary, when your child comes out. You may not understand what they mean when they say "I'm nonbinary," or know what "gender affirming care" consists of. This 6-week virtual group is a crash course in gender, gender identity, pronouns, and what gender affirming care and transitioning looks like. We'll discuss the real-world impacts of the current legislation concerning trans rights and how to be supportive of your child. This group is a safe, nonjudgmental space to ask questions, talk to other parents, and process your feelings.
