About
Has your teen been recently diagnosed with a health issue, and you are unsure how to help? Do you see your teen or young adult child struggling with anxiety on a daily basis? Do you wish you could help them manage their painful emotions, but you keep getting shut out? Have you been putting off getting support? During these growing years, teens and young adults find ways of dealing with painful emotions. Sometimes there has been a life event or trigger. Sometimes it is the pain of growing up in a fast-paced world. Therapy can be a safe place for you or your adolescent to explore patterns and healthy ways of coping.
I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to find solutions and more adaptive coping skills. I teach mindfulness skills including deep breathing and self-compassion. I help clients explore ways of thinking, which could be leading to unhealthy behaviors. I have personal experience dealing with chronic illness, addiction, and anxiety.
I have a particular interest in helping young people who deal with chronic illness and older teens looking for solutions for managing their anxiety. Most people share that they wished they had gotten help sooner. You don't have to suffer alone anymore. There is hope! Contact me today for a free phone consultation.
