I believe children can be helped through a transition phase, or a traumatic event through play. Children need to be able to have their safe place to go to when many things in their life are too difficult. The age of the child does not matter (0-18) can be effected in a positive way through therapy. This can occur through multiple forms of therapy. Many of the concepts used in Play therapy can be transferred to adolescents and adults while keeping family dynamics at the focus of the therapy process.
I offer a variety of modalities to improve coping skills, decrease depression or anxiety, adjust to changes throughout ones life, and improve trust and attachment within a parent-child relationship. I am a Registered Play Therapist TM as well as Level One Theraplay trained. Theraplay offers increased attachment in a trusting environment with a caregiver.
