I specialize in working with people of all ages on the Autism Spectrum as well as their families and care givers. They come to therapy wanting support around interpersonal challenges and wanting to build social skills as well as targeting more proportional and functional reactions to life's challenges. Family members of people with ASD are seeking guidance with their unique challenges of supporting a loved one with ASD and also managing their own stress. I also work with people presenting with mood and anxiety disorders seeking symptom reduction and healthy coping skills and also insight into their mental health challenges.
Building self-regulation, self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and increased flexibility and frustration tolerance for people with ASD. For their loved ones, we focus on supporting the unique needs of people with ASD as well as their own stress management and self-care.For mood and anxiety disorders, we process contributing factors and build healthy coping.
It's a big step starting therapy for the first time or returning to the work again. We will take time to build comfort and trust and go at your own pace. You'll have the chance to set your own big picture goals and agenda for each session, but the pressure isn't on you to fill the silence or always know what to talk about.
