My approach to counseling is largely based on the therapeutic connection between an individual and their therapist, as this is one of the best predictors of progress and improvement over the course of therapy. I use strengths-based and relational methods to connect with individuals and support them in making changes to their lives. Clients can expect validation, respect, safety, and empathy when working with me.
I believe that knowledge supports change and often teach clients about the brain and body, and their connection, to allow a deeper level of understanding to one of the common questions that people come to therapy with: Why does this happen and how can I change it?
Please consider contacting more than one counselor to help you determine who may be the best fit for you. If you believe that I may be someone who can be helpful to you or your family, I would love to hear from you!
