"Why does this still feel so hard, even now?" You've been doing what you're "supposed" to do to heal - the journaling, the reading, maybe even therapy. You understand where the patterns came from. And still, your nervous system does not get the memo. There's a constant buzz under the surface, like your body can't settle. You find yourself scanning the room, picking up on others’ needs, adjusting how you show up without thinking. Strategies that once helped you survive, no longer bring relief. This is often what complex trauma looks like for women who are used to holding it together, and it is exactly what EMDR is designed to reach.
Using EMDR therapy, we process the experiences that are still running in your nervous system beneath the surface, the ones that show up as hypervigilance, emotional numbing, or the exhaustion of always being on. For women who have been in weekly therapy and still feel stuck, I also offer EMDR Intensives, extended sessions designed to go deeper in less time.
You do not have to have everything figured out before starting. You don’t even have to know what to say... we can figure that out together. If you’re feeling stuck or ready for a different approach, this can be a place to begin. We’ll go at a pace that feels manageable. You deserve support that helps you feel better, not just get through.

I specialize in trauma and dual diagnoses (substance use and mental health). I specialize in EMDR and not only offer weekly sessions, but also EMDR Intensives, which are extended sessions (2-8 hours). Instead of stretching EMDR treatment over many appointments, intensives create the time and space to process more in a shorter period.
