Whether your life is going "pretty well" and yet you still feel empty or overwhelmed, or you're facing a crisis, counseling can help. I have experience providing outpatient, in-home, and crisis counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Depression, anxiety, perfectionism, self-harm, and feelings of purposelessness are some of the issues my clients identify. I have specialized training in the treatment of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. As a mother of four, I'm passionate about supporting mothers. I'm also a military spouse and have spent the past ten years working within the military community.

My counseling career began with my motivation to help individuals overcome the obsession with food, weight, body image, and exercise. Over the past fifteen years I've gained experience in the treatment of eating disorders in outpatient, inpatient, and group settings and know the joy, health, and freedom of recovery.

I love being a therapist because I find that individuals struggling with mental health issues tend to be some of the most intelligent, thoughtful, sensitive, and driven people who go on to live meaningful, fruitful lives, once their energy is channeled healthfully. Online, evening, and weekend appointments are available!

Meghan Dana Freeman's Groups

Growing Up Strong Kids Group Ages 7-9

Now forming for October 2018: A 6-week coping skills group for kids who experience emotions intensely. If your child struggles with irritability, worry, anger, social anxiety, perfectionism, or sadness, this group can help. In this four-week group, participants will learn about feelings like anger, worry, and sadness, get support from others who experience difficult emotions, and develop and practice coping skills to manage feelings at home, at school, and throughout life. At the same time, they will have fun! We play games, make crafts, and enjoy other interactive activities each week as we learn and grow together.
