Hi I'm, Meghan Balliett, and I bring a wealth of experience to my practice, having earned my Bachelor's in Family and Child Sciences and Master's in Social Work from Florida State University. With a diverse background in community mental health, the VA Hospital, and providing support to students in both high school and elementary school settings for over 13 years, I have honed my ability to connect with individuals, families, couples, and adolescents. I also completed advanced training at the University of Denver in utilizing horses within therapeutic settings, further enhancing my ability to guide clients through emotional healing.
I combine traditional talk therapy with interactions with horses to promote healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. This therapeutic approach uses the natural behavior of horses to mirror and reflect the emotions, actions, and thought patterns of the individual.
I take an evidence-based and solution-focused approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that everyone is capable of change. By challenging the myths and stigmas surrounding mental health. I strive to empower clients to take control of their emotional well-being, develop coping skills, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.
