There are circumstances that can throw someone off track - talk therapy is part of the journey of getting back on track. I will meet you where you are at and walk with you through this journey, back to a life worth living. I love diving into and finding the roots or core beliefs that are keeping you stuck and doing the work to get you unstuck. This may involve exploring your foundation years or your past, because in order to know where you're going, you need to know where you've come from. You can't say "goodbye" to something if you haven't said "hello" to it.
My areas of expertise include treating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, stress management, self-soothing techniques, people-pleasing, boundary setting, life transitions, substance abuse issues, adolescent issues, and interpersonal issues. I work with adults and adolescents age 14+ providing individual therapy.
I am compassionate and work hard to build a trusting relationship with each of my clients. I don't believe in the 'doctor-patient' relationship. I am personable, genuine, down-to-earth, laid back, and even a little goofy. I want my clients to get to know me too!
