About
(CURRENTLY FULL/WAIT LIST ONLY) Hello! I imagine you are here because some aspect of your life is challenging and you're looking for help. I became a therapist because I believe therapy can help heal emotional wounds, give us coping strategies to change behavior, and make life more fulfilling. My aim is to work with you to enhance your understanding of who you are, deepen your compassion for yourself, and help you eliminate any barriers that are holding you back --so you can build your "self" into the person you long to be.
I started working with adolescents and families in the 1980's. Strengths-based and person-centered, I work primarily with adults and adolescents. I use an eclectic mix of evidence-based therapy modalities and tools, including CBT and mindfulness, and have been trained in basic EMDR, an effective method to desensitize and reprocess trauma memories.
I understand how hard it can be to reach out for help. I deeply respect the courage it takes to embark on your epic journey of self-discovery, and believe therapy can empower you to let go of pain and fear in your life in order to better embrace joy! I look forward to talking more with you about how we can work together.

Healthy Boundaries
This 8-week group offers a deeper understanding of the limits we set, or fail to set. Discover why you have difficulty saying "no" and learn skills to communicate your wants and needs clearly and effectively. Or if you struggle with more rigid boundaries, learn ways to gradually let go of controlling others while keeping yourself safe. The group is held in a cozy space which allows members to process individual boundaries challenges, learn coping strategies and enjoy the fellowship of others who are working toward similar goals.
