When we experience pain in our lives, we are challenged to seek understanding and connection. My office is a place to be heard, seen, and met with that understanding, free from judgment. I appreciate how challenging it can be to make oneself vulnerable, and I'm committed to establishing a presence of safety and trust. I am experienced working with those encountering depression, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, the effects of trauma, and the existential challenges of life. I have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as with teachers and with college, graduate, and professional students.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the understanding that my clients are individuals; as such, I bring a highly individualized and Person-Centered approach to each individual person, using principles of Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Existential Therapy as well as concepts from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
The therapeutic process can be a transformative one, and I’m passionate about providing the space and security for it to unfold. It is a privilege to work with clients as they learn about themselves, make changes in their lives, strengthen their relationships, and create meaning within their experiences.
