I like to consider myself a play connoisseur! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist. I have a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Master's degree in Counseling. I have advanced training in different play therapy modalities, sandplay therapy, and Theraplay, and truly specialize in working with children. I believe in empowering children to make their own choices, take responsibility, and assert their autonomy by engaging in an accepting, genuine, and trusting therapeutic relationship. My office is designed for kids with adults in mind! :)
As a child-centered therapist, I have a therapeutic play room and work with kiddos from 18 months and up using a variety of different play therapy, sand play, theraplay, and expressive arts techniques to engage your child in the therapeutic relationship.
I also specialize in working with military families and veterans. As a former military spouse, I know the challenges that military families face on a daily basis and want you and your family to feel supported during life's transitions and stressors.
