Active Parenting - In Person - Spring 2024
“Active Parenting” isn't about creating the perfect parent or providing one magical solution. This class offers hands-on tools for every day situations, evidence-based skills, video guided examples, methods for understanding your teen’s motivation for behaviors, improved communication, and discovery of your parenting style. As a therapist and “Active Parenting” certified leader, I stand confident in the changes Active Parenting creates, not only as a therapist but as a mom to two teenagers. I have witnessed first-hand how these methods improved my own relationships, communication style, and tightening the parent-child bond with my daughters.

Our providers are trained in many approaches, but they're all focused on one thing: helping you change your life. All our providers are licensed/registered and have Master's/Doctoral degrees, at least 2,000 hours of professional experience, and must have completed their own therapy before working with us. We also take the guess-work out of finding the right provider by offering a FREE consultation where we match you to a clinician based on your specific needs, budget, and schedule. We offer in person and video/phone sessions, as well as online portal for forms, payment, etc.

DBT Skills - Virtual - Starts Spring 2024
Do you react more intensely than others within romantic, family, or friend relationships? Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) uses mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness techniques to teach you to: 1) Manage and de-escalate painful or powerful emotions / mood swings 2) Increase self-control with maladaptive habits, unhealthy patterns, and addictive behaviors 3) Increase self-awareness, accountability, and self-esteem 4) Decrease conflict in relationships (with the self and others) 5) Improve assertive and respectful communication with others, helping move from reactive to responsive interactions 6) Better enjoy life in the present without getting caught up in worry
