I often incorporate a relational lens, as well as my training in skills-based work such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I enjoy working with clients on the goals they present and assisting them to achieve those goals at their own pace.
In therapy I meet clients where they are at, see us as equals, and build relationship with rapport. I value the strengths of the individual, their past, and current successes, and walk with them through challenging times. I utilize humor at times when I can, and attempt to build upon existing resilience in ways that help clients better understand themselves.
