It is important to create a safe and trusting relationship with my clients within which they can feel comfortable doing the challenging work of personal growth. My work is focused on supporting children, adolescents, families & individuals who may be experiencing depression, emotional struggles due to chronic medical conditions, anxiety, grief, parenting challenges, trauma, or other difficult life stressors and crises. I help clients in expressing thoughts and feelings, enhancing communication, and developing life skills to improve mood, behavior, relationships and self esteem.
As a Registered Play Therapist, I assist to transform understandings & relationships through the healing power of play. As an EMDR Certified Therapist I facilitate a clinical process that helps individuals resolve troubling thoughts & feelings related to distressing past events. I also use multiple other approaches to help clients live life fully.
Working with all my clients, I nurture change and growth by strengthening healthy interactions communication, life skills and relationships. I bring to this work a strong appreciation for the uniqueness of each person within the family system, as together we work towards healing and growth.
