I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Megan and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I firmly believe everyone deserves access to mental health care that is safe, inclusive, and affirming. In establishing care with me, you can expect to be met with compassion and understanding. I will respect your own lived experience, thoughts, feelings, and belief systems, and seek to develop a collaborative relationship that fosters trust and empowerment. I believe clients are experts in their own life and that at their core, humans are capable of healing and change. Above all, I am committed to helping others find healing, balance, and meaning.
As a queer therapist, I strive to be a fierce advocate for each of my clients, recognize the impacts of systemic discrimination and oppression to those of marginalized identities, and ultimately create a space that is trauma-informed, anti-racist, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Not only do each of your identities deserve to be celebrated, they also deserve the space to acknowledge and unpack the challenges that may come with them. My work is individualized to meet the needs of each client as I will work collaboratively with you from a lens that is heavily influenced by cognitive-behavioral, feminist, and person-centered approaches.
