About
Hi, I'm Megan and I'm a therapist! I'm also finding it really difficult to figure out the "perfect" thing to put here. I know there is no such as perfect - it's funny how our brain tries to convince us otherwise though. Anyway. I see people ages 13+ and I specialize in impulse disorders (like ADHD and Anger/Emotional regulation), anxiety, depression and trauma. That doesn't mean I'm limited to those though! I also see people who have no idea what they have, or just want to improve their lives. I also have an extensive history of working with those involved in the criminal justice system and who have a history of substance abuse.
I don't judge, give unsolicited advice, or pretend that I know what's 'better' for you. You're the only one who knows what it's like to live your life, after all. Together, we work on the goals that are important to you. I use techniques from CBT, ACT, and Narrative therapy (aka one therapeutic size does not fit all) along with a lot of psychoeducation.
Ok, we are at the end game now. Please don't hesitate to reach out - it is a sign of strength, not weakness, to ask for help. Even if you decide that we may not be a good fit, I will gladly help you find the best place to fit your needs. (Seriously, no judgement!) Megan Loos's Groups
Anger Management
Our anger management group has open enrollment and is available to both court-mandated and self-referred persons and offers both male and female groups. Our groups currently meet through teletherapy sessions. Completing the program takes 12 sessions, although individuals can be permitted to continue for a longer duration. An intake must be completed prior to entering the group setting to determine eligibility.
