Although we cannot avoid life’s pain and trauma, we do not have to process it alone. I see counseling as a collaborative and supportive process that can aid in one's healing. Maya Angelou said, “You can’t really know where you are going until you know where you have been.” I believe it is imperative to evaluate our life story and the meaning we have attached to our experiences. Recognizing the root of our maladaptive thoughts and emotional distress allows us to receive the hope and healing needed to move towards a satisfying and purpose-filled life.
Through my years of teaching, parenting, and leading a non-profit organization, I have spent time with hundreds of individuals, learning how to navigate the intricacies of life stages and changes. I believe my education, experience, and desire to host freedom has prepared me to support others on their healing journey.
I believe in a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, paying attention to one’s needs and desires in all areas of life (emotionally, physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually). I enjoy working with children, teens, moms, couples, and families.
