You were made to live life well and full of joy. However, difficult moments in life can create sadness, stress, anger or fear. These experiences and emotions can negatively impact all areas of our life and, they are challenging to navigate alone. I journey with clients by exploring the roots of issues while guiding them toward healthier thinking, acting and reacting - in short, to improve daily functioning. I offer counseling for stress, anxiety, grief/trauma, relational conflicts, parenting challenges, career/educational challenges, life transitions, wellness, faith-integration and other issues.
I have over 20 years of counseling and guidance experience in the mental health, legal and higher education fields. My experiences have equipped me in many ways to counsel others. I use counseling techniques including CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy, Telemental Health and faith integration when requested.
As someone who has overcome many traumatic events and emotions in my own life, I understand, empathize, and want to help you heal so you can live life freely and joyfully. Change CAN happen.
