My expertise is working with women in their reproductive years who are pregnant, postpartum, experiencing fertility challenges, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or are in need of support with the early motherhood years. My patients are usually coming to therapy in need of a safe outlet to process their relationships, worries, decisions and traumatic situations. I enjoy walking alongside of my patients and helping them to reach the goals they have in mind when they begin the therapy process. I am a certified perinatal mental health therapist as well as fully certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) and have specialized in treating women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD's) for 12+ years. I have been trained in CBT through the Beck Institute, Interpersonal Therapy through the IPT Institute and am certified in EMDR. I use a blend of these techniques.
I look forward to meeting with you and accompanying you in the days ahead. Taking the first step is the hardest, but one you will be thankful you chose to do. You deserve to be well for yourself and your family. Most of my clients share that I am a very nurturing, caring and solution focused therapist.
