I strive to ensure you feel seen and cared for throughout our work together. Individual Therapy, especially for challenges that accompany addiction and recovery, or queer (LGBTQIA+) related issues, is a process of understanding the internal and external energies, sometimes beyond our awareness, that guide us in both helpful and harmful ways. Using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches like Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems Theory, we can uncover new stories that better define who we are, and what we want, and allow us to heal.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in the field since 2009. I provide Individual Therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy, and EMDR, rooted in Bowen Family Systems Theory, to all communities but specialize in working with Substance Use Disorders (addiction), young adults, and members of the queer (LGBTQIA+) community.
My style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I bring years of experience living and working within the LGBTQIA+ community, and supporting individuals impacted by substance use. My approach includes curiosity, fostering self-acceptance, and setting practical goals to help you discover, increase understanding, and minimize troublesome patterns.
