I have worked with kids and their families for over 25 years. My favorite children and teens are strong willed, capable, and smart (academic and/or common sense). I see kids ranging from 3 year old to college students. Some of the most common issues that I work with are ADD/ADHD, Oppositional/Defiant, Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Disorders. Other general issues are poor social skills, difficulty with frustration, poor communication skills and parent-child conflict. Because so many of the families that I see are struggling with how get along easily, I prefer to include parents whenever possible.

Because of my experience in working with so many kids I bring a very interactive and problem solving orientation to my practice. I believe in maximizing an individual's strengths and practicing new stategies outside of the therapy session to reduce the time spent in therapy.

I have found that when kids have an opportunity to experience how to manage reactivity they can feel better and experience ways to cooperate. This group supports parents from start to finish in 4 groups. Would you like to help your kid with some ideas to make and keep friends that make sense to them? Often times the underlying challenge is a concrete or black and white view of how things "should" be. This blocks kids from picking up on the social cues that other kids just seem to "know". Meet in an online small group setting with a few other parents to learn some tools, you introduce them to your child and then update us on the results. You learn how to be the parent coach for your family.
