I have worked with kids and their families for over 25 years. My favorite children and teens are strong willed, capable, and smart (academic and/or common sense). I see kids ranging from 3 year old to college students. Some of the most common issues that I work with are ADD/ADHD, Oppositional/Defiant, Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Disorders. Other general issues are poor social skills, difficulty with frustration, poor communication skills and parent-child conflict. Because so many of the families that I see are struggling with how get along easily, I prefer to include parents whenever possible.
Because of my experience in working with so many kids I bring a very interactive and problem solving orientation to my practice. I believe in maximizing an individual's strengths and practicing new stategies outside of the therapy session to reduce the time spent in therapy.

I will discuss some of the information that you will need and the school may use to explore if your child's educational needs are best met by a 504 Plan. These can be helpful for students who are struggling in school, if he or she meets academic criteria. You must RSVP for the next available date. Building Bridges: Parent Advocacy Tools

Building Bridges' goal is to help parents work with schools to best meet their child's educational needs through 504 Plans. We will discuss criteria, use handouts to help you identify possible accommodations that could fit your child's educational limitations and parent advocacy strategies. Each Zoom group is 45-minutes long. 30-minutes of general information and 15 for questions. My experience is both professional and personal. A Free phone call is required to RSVP. This group is only educational and I do not represent any schools and can not speak for them.
