I take a warm and collaborative approach to psychotherapy and will work with you to achieve symptom relief and lasting change. My background in theater and the arts allows me to be creative and non-rigid in my methods, although I am also goal-oriented and well versed in evidence-based approaches to therapy. I specialize in working with trauma, grief and bereavement, anxiety, depression, addiction and LGBTQIA+ issues. I also work with creatives to help establish flow and decrease blockages. My aim is to build an authentic and trusting relationship with each patient to help individuals lead more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
I approach treatment through a psychodynamic lens and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness based practices to support the therapeutic work. My work is trauma focused, identity affirming, and social justice oriented. I aim to individualize treatment to client needs and focus toward helping you achieve your goals.
I graduated with honors from Cornell University and completed my predoctoral training at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center. I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital and at the International Trauma Studies Program through Columbia University in NYC before moving to Los Angeles. I have a Masters in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
