I am a licensed psychotherapist working ONLINE and in person with young adults, men and women of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, neurodivergent issues, trauma of all kinds, relational problems,and life transitions. I specialize in parenting through divorce. My approaches include psychodynamic (connecting the painful past with current problems), cognitive(reframing negative beliefs) and a solution focused therapy, at all times building on the unique strengths of each client. I also practice EMDR - a technique which alleviates distress by accessing deep-rooted thoughts and feelings that need resolution.
I help my clients see themselves more clearly so they can understand the roots of their relationship, work and general life difficulties. We will explore past and present traumas. I see all ages - college students facing classic challenges, parents struggling with kids of all ages, and seniors facing new and trying circumstances. (see my books)
I work ONLINE and in person.I am an intuitive therapist. I think I can hear what is really being said beneath the spoken words I actively engage with my clients. I often use humor to help my clients handle the sadness but also see the absurdity of many difficult experiences. This allows us, interestingly, to face the real pain without so much fear.
