I am passionate about helping people who are struggling with difficult personal situations. Assisting clients to regain their confidence, supporting them through trying circumstances or helping to heal their relationships is what gives me great satisfaction. I understand cross-cultural and acculturation situations faced by immigrants and consequently, I am sensitive to the subtleties of clients’ religious, social and cultural background and needs. I work with individuals, couples and families to bring about change that will help them cope with the condition that is hampering their ability to function at an optimal level.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy are my preferred approaches to treating clients struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, and self-esteem issues. My style is interactive, supportive and educational. I assist clients to define their goals and help them to build on their strengths and develop problem solving skills.
For those clients experiencing relationship problems or work-related problems, I focus on helping them acquire communication skills and conflict resolution skills to improve their interaction with others.
