Launching young adults off to college can be a stressful time. I specialize in treatment of high school and twentysomething clients tailoring to their individual needs giving them a greater understanding of their strengths assisting them to discover their authentic self. I work with clients to map out their unique goals and set attainable targets. Competition, feeling overwhelmed can cause anxiety and fear. Together we will work together to dispel the social discomfort of not feeling good enough, smart enough and want a safe place and a strategy for the next steps at a crucial time.
For the twentysomething clients. Did you complete college and feel unsatisfied with what to do next? Although successful through out high school and college wonder why you find yourself underemployed, working at a job you are overqualified for or working part time? I will work with you to discover your personal resources to shape the life you want.
I also work with parents who are experiencing feelings of anxiety and fear getting ready to launch their child. Parents may have trouble sleeping, find themselves questioning if they have done enough for their child. I help parents gain knowledge on how to manage their feelings and transition from directive parenting to supportive parenting.
