Fairfax Mental Health and Wellness (FMHW) provides integrated mental health services to the greater Virginia/Maryland/DC area. We treat a wide range of conditions including but limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PTSD, OCD, Adjustment Disorders, Mood Disorders and more. We treat patients ranging in age from 5 to 60. Our practice was founded in 2013 by Dr. Jennifer Shore and now employs over 40 clinical staff including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, counselors, social workers and doctoral interns.

Virginia Support Services is a Mental Health Skill-Building Service that provides behavioral and mental health training and support services to individuals with mental, behavioral, or emotional impairments in major life activities by supporting an individual's level of functioning and promoting his/her autonomy. The program offers supportive services to individuals and families in their homes and communities. Clinicians assist with training the individual to understand and cope with the challenges of having a mental, behavioral, or emotional disability.

I specialize in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to those with ADHD, PTSD, OCD, depression and anxiety. My background includes clinical work in the corporate, forensic, educational, and therapeutic settings. I am experienced in providing collaborative and clinical services to children, adolescents, and adults in both community and private practices.

My educational background includes an MA in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a PhD in psychology from Georgetown University, an MA in Theology and Pastoral Counseling from DeSales Graduate School of Theology, a post-doctoral MS in clinical psychopharmacology from Alliant University. I have completed an internship at Bellevue Hospital in NYC and a post-doctoral institute on the psychology of trauma from the Maryland Psychological Association. I am also certified in biofeedback and apply its use in the areas of psychological trauma and sports psychology.

I'm Stephanie King, a family nurse practitioner with 23 years of experience working in a variety of healthcare settings including: long term care facilities, in home care, inpatient, outpatient and nursing education. I received my BS and MS in Nursing at Hampton University where I graduated with honors. Outside of the office I split my time between my family, animals and various volunteer opportunities with the local VCNP, health department and YMCA summer camps.

I am currently accepting new telehealth clients! My name is Alexis Davis, MSW, and I am a resident clinical social worker with Seek Serenity. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from George Mason University. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in biology from the University of Maryland. With an additional background in neuroscience, I understand brain function as it relates to mental health. I've been working in mental health for 7 years and have experience across populations in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and residential homes.
