I am an Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse Specialist in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing. While in private practice, I have a collaborative arrangement with Dr. Adam Sky. I have functioned for over 25 years as an advanced practice nurse with prescriptive authority. I treat clients with Depression, Anxiety, Dementia, ADHD, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder to name a few. I understand that making the decision to seek help can be very difficult. I use an approach that is compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental to help create a safe environment for therapy.

I understand how challenging being an adolescent can be. I have worked with adolescents for over 25 years. I also work with individuals who have issues with their sexuality;including homosexuality, lesbianism and bisexual relationships. I have witnessed a lot of success with children who have ADHD. I have worked well with adults suffering from Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder.

Self-care is not selfish, it is essential….YOU are essential. My goal is to support my clients holistically…..mentally, spiritually, socially, and physically. My clients are actively involved in their treatment plan that is tailored to their unique selves. I see clients for individual, couples, and family therapy. I support my clients with concerns around depression, anxiety, stress, and health management.

I have learned that no one is immune to mental health stress, trauma, OR substance abuse. Most really can find recovery and wellness. In 2000, I began my career providing counseling services in a treatment center and have continued to specialize in coping methods vs. "using." Relationships are sacred. I work with all arrangements of families (CNM & polyamory). Expert family/couples counseling requires expert training. The Gottman Method is taught in three levels and I completed all three in 2017. My intensive couples approach is successful in improving communication and provides many tools and results in a reasonable time frame.
